Escape From The Shadows Walkthrough – Detective Guide

Detective Ren Larsen is at Bastian’s house to do his investigation…

Do you remember who Detective Ren Larsen is, and why do we need his help? Detective Ren Larsen is the main character in The Ghost Case. He’s on a mission to solve the murder of Mia and Dan.

• Click on the table with three pictures in the frames. Click on the right pictures and collect a key at the back. Go to the room.
• The detective suspects that someone is home because he heard footsteps.
• Go upstairs. Go further to the right. Click on the box on the middle of the bookshelf and collect a cable. Click on the table then on the folder and collect piece of paper with a clue. Click on the shelf above the table and collect a tape. Go back to the room.
• Use cable to connect a tablet on the desk. Click on the tablet and use found clue to get 4 symbols. Go back to the entrance.

• Click on the purple box and enter 4 symbols. Collect rubber gloves and a blue key. Go upstairs.
• Use blue key to unlock the door. Go inside. Click on the right curtain and find hidden CAT (1/10). Click on the drawer and click on the cloth. Count how many knots each cloth has: blue – 3, red – 1, green – 4 and purple curtain – 5. Click on the microwave and enter number of knots for each color. Collect a external hard drive from the microwave. Click on the computer and use external hard drive to connect to it. Click on each file and remember each symbol on the hand, leg, hand and neck. Exit the room.
• Click on the red box on the hallway and enter these symbols to unlock it (see below). Collect a bottle with acid to remove rust.

• Click on the bowl and fill it with the acid from the bottle. Then put rusty key inside. Use latex gloves to take the key out from the acid. Go to the right and use this key to unlock red door. Go inside.
• Click on the red drawer’s bottom cabinet and take piece of paper with a clue. Click on the book and read about witches. Go to the right and open the cabinet on the floor and collect a book. Open it and there is a clue with numbers (10 – on the shirt, 4 – snails, 23 – on the birthday cake and 12 – symbols). Go out.
• Click on the wall calendar on the hallway and find numbers from the books and write down the symbols associate to these numbers. Go down.
• Click on the white cabinet and enter the symbols (see below). Collect a wrench and a small figurine. Click on the stand and memorize each each figurines. Then click on the each and remember the position of each figure. Leave the room.

• Click on the chess board. Put the found small figure on the board and position each figurines according the clue (see below). Collect a large battery.

• Go upstairs, to the red room. Click on the computer desk and use the wrench to remove nuts. Open it and put the large battery inside. Click on the piece of paper with the clue that shows the order of things. Memorize the symbols during the scanning: use duck first to scan it, a vase is the second, a alarm is the third and a rocket is the last. Extra: scan a tomato paste can to find a black hidden CAT (2/10).
• Click on the wall cabinet and enter symbols from scanning items (see below). Collect a sandpaper and a bag of flour.

• Go downstairs and use bag of flour to see the steps. Go inside hidden room. Use the sand paper on the wall with marks. Memorize the symbols. Click on the blue cabinet and enter these symbols (see below). Collect a blade cutter and a paintbrush. Use paintbrush on the bag of flour in your inventory. Then use it on the glass cap on the desk to get a clear fingerprint and the use scotch tape on it to get the fingerprint. Leave the room.

• Go upstairs. Use fingerprint on the desk on hallway. Open the drawer and collect a vacuum hose. Go back to the hidden room.
• Connect vacuum hose to the vacuum. Put the hose in the wall hole and turn it on. Use the blade cutter to cut the vacuum bag. Collect a magnetic card. Leave the room.
• Go upstairs, the red room and use the magnetic card on the safe (looks like a microwave). Click on the folder inside.
• In the store, ask questions one by one. If you remember that the witch is afraid of open scissors.
• You are at the station. Solve the drawing puzzle (see below).

Escape From The Shadows Walkthrough – Laia & Bastian

• Go upstairs and collect a lever. Then talk to the knight. Continue to the left and go inside the blue door. Click on the bookshelf and look at the piece of paper between pages, the clue (the snail at the 3rd from the top).  Click on the hands from the wall and click on each hand in the following order (see below). Collect a ring and a key from the box. Leave the room.

• Go upstairs. Open the green door and go inside. Click on the box on the bookshelf to find a black hidden CAT (3/10). Click on the book and check piece of paper between the pages with the cat at 5th from the top. Collect a hanger from the top of the bookshelf. Click on the hands from the books and memorize how many fingers related to the symbol in the book. Leave the room.
• Go back to the hole and click on the cabinet, enter the symbols on the order of fingers (see below). Collect cutter. Go to the right.

• Click on small window by the door. Use a hook from the hanger to unlock the door. Open the door and go inside. Click on the book and find a clue with the fish at 1st from the top. Leave the room.
• Go upstairs on the right. Click on the red box on the ground and collect a spyglass. Click on the book and find the clue with a butterfly at 4th from the top. Go downstairs.
• Enter the room again and solve puzzle with the snail, the cat, the fish and the butterfly with the clues from the books (see below). Collect a chicken leg. Leave the room.

• Go back to the room with the green door, on the left. Click on the window and give the chicken leg to them. Collect a piece of paper with symbols which is a spell to open the door. leave the room.
• Click on the brown door. Use a magic spell to open this door. Click on the desk and open the draw. Collect a transparent sheet with some drawings. Click on the pink bird. Collect a fish. Leave the room.

Escape From The Shadows Walkthrough – Bastian

• Go downstairs to the room with the blue door. Use the transparent sheet with some drawings on the picture. Memorize the symbols and follow the arrows’ way, the order. Click on the cabinet and enter the symbols (see below). Collect a glass cutter. Leave the room.

• Go to the right and upstairs. Use the glass cutter to cut out the piece of pipe. Go downstairs and enter the room with small window. Click on the wall with pipes, add the found pipe and solve the puzzle (see below). Click on the wall plate beside the fountain and the lever. Click on the lever, the water will flow from the bird’s head mouth. Click on the water and put the fish inside. Collect the key from the fish’s mouth. Leave the room.

• Go upstairs, to the right. Use the key to unlock the tree’s trunk. Collect a small diamond, combine it with the ring in the inventory. Click on the red arrow up to find a black hidden CAT (4/10). Click on the open book with a clue when to use the spyglass. Go back.
• Go to the skeleton. Grab the ring with diamond and put it on the skeleton’s finger. Collect a red key. Use the key to unlock the door beside the skeleton.
• Go inside. Click on the window and watch the shadows movements (see below). Click on the shelf and collect a small leather pouch from the top. Leave the room.

• Go upstairs, on the left. Click on the red box and enter the shadows’ movements signs (see below). Collect a cup. Go downstairs.

• Go to the room with fountain and fill the cup with water. Go to the knight and give him a cup of water. Collect a piece of the sword and fill the small leather pouch with the sand. Go to the tree trunk.
• Use the pouch with the sand on the sand clock. Then use a spyglass to look at the sand. Memorize the symbols. Go to the room beside the skeleton.
• Use these symbols to unlock the chest (see below). Collect a bird seeds. Leave the room.

• Go to the room with pink bird. Give the seeds to the bird. Collect the bird’s egg and memorize illuminated symbols on columns. Use these symbols on the chest’s lock (see below). Collect a matches and piece of paper with a clue. Leave the room.

• Go to the room beside the skeleton. Click on the shelf with eggs and put found egg on the shelf, use the paper with a clue to solve the puzzle (see below). Collect a piece of the sword. Combine two pieces of sword in the inventory. Leave the room.

• Go to the blue door and use matches on the fireplace wood. Then put two broken pieces of sword into the fire. Leave the room.
• Go to the right, install the sword into the panel by the stairwell’s room door. Click on it to open the door. Go inside.

Escape From The Shadows Walkthrough – Laia

• Click on the metal grid opening. You will see a clue about cutting scissors. Pick up a button from the ground. Leave the room.
• Go further. Click on the table with a cup and sugar plate. Collect the sugar cube. Click on the right opening. Give him the sugar cube. Take a blue key. Go upstairs.
• Click on the small opening beneath stairwell and pick up second button. Click on the blue chest and collect a clue paper, and a toothpaste tube.  Click on the left opening and click on the cake. He will ask for a fork. Go downstairs twice.
• Open the red door with old blue key. Use clue paper to click on the caskets in the clue ‘s order and watch for how many times casket moves: snakes (2) – eye (5) – bird (3) – bug (4). Leave the room.
• Go to the room beside the red door and use numbers from caskets on the blue chest lock – 2534. Collect a scissors and a fork. Click on the books and use scissors to cut out a scull. Leave the room.
• Go to the red door’s room and click on the book. Cut out a star. Leave the room.
• Go upstairs twice. Give the fork to the red creature in the left opening. Memorize the symbols on the plate. Go downstairs twice.
• On hallway, click on the blue chest’s lock and enter the symbols from the plate to unlock it (see below). Collect a bone-colored key and a bell.

• Use the bone-colored key on the blue door. Enter the room and click on the book at the bottom shelf. Cut out a bat. Click on the shelf with books and pay attention on how many dots on colored books: blue (1), white (5), red (3), green (4), purple (6) and yellow (2). Click on the bottom drawer and collect a jar. Click on the top drawer and collect third button. Click on the wall opening, click on the creature that needs a water. Leave the room.
• Go to the red door’s room. Click on the small door on the right and install the bell. Ring the bell and the creature wants a mushroom. Click on the wall cabinet and enter colours in the order of dots: Blue-Yellow-Red-Green-White-Purple. Collect a bag and a toothbrush. Leave the room.
• Go to the blue door’s room. Combine toothbrush and toothpaste in the inventory. Click on the monster twice and use toothbrush to clean his teeth. The monster gives you a mushroom. Leave the room.
• Go to the red door’s room and ring the bell to give the mushroom to the chef. Receive a diamond. Ring the bell again to find a black hidden CAT (5/10). Leave the room.
